Asus gaming monitor vs LG gaming monitor

Asus gaming monitor vs LG gaming monitor

Which gaming monitor brand is the best?

Asus and LG are big names in the home computing industry and both make great products. In fact, Asus has made a name for itself with its wide variety of high-end PC gaming hardware, including high end motherboards, graphics cards, laptops and more. Meanwhile, LG is world famous for its fantastic OLED TVs – but how do its PC monitors stack up against those from Asus?

Ultimately, LG makes good gaming monitors without any major flaws. It even offers impressive high-end options. Overall, though, Asus gaming monitors come in a bigger selection, offer the same or better value, and feature similar (and in some cases, better) specs.

In other words, while both manufacturers have something good to offer, you’re much more likely to find a bargain on a great gaming monitor from Asus than LG.

Asus Gaming Monitors

Asus is no stranger to high-end gaming gear. He’s also not afraid to listen to feedback and improve his releases year after year. As a result, there are a wide variety of Asus gaming monitors to browse. It’s hard to go wrong with anything you might choose, although Asus’ 40-inch-plus gaming monitors are sometimes overpriced, especially when sourced from online retailers.

Benefits of Asus Gaming Monitors

  • An impressive selection: Maybe you’re looking for a compact, inexpensive secondary display to track your Discord chat. Maybe you’re looking for a 3-foot-wide 4K display that delivers a remarkably immersive experience. Either way, Asus has something you’ll appreciate.
  • Above average value for the dollar: You’ll pay a little less for premium features than you would with most other brands.
  • Excellent mid-range options: Asus particularly shines in one of the most popular categories. It has several great offerings that are both affordable and capable, each tailored to a slightly different experience.

Disadvantages of the Asus Gaming Monitor

  • Just average customer service: Owners’ experiences with Asus customer service are hit and miss. Some report friendly and responsive service, while others say their reps could have been a bit more efficient. Overall, though, Asus’ customer service gets the job done most of the time.

LG Gaming Monitors

LG makes a lot of monitors, and they tend to get high marks for everyday use. It releases far fewer gaming-focused displays, and the ones it sells can boast impressive specs, including high refresh rates and wide color gamuts.

However, probably the most intriguing part of LG’s display lineup is its family of OLED TVs, which are growing in popularity with both PC and console gamers.

Pros of LG gaming monitors

  • They also serve as excellent business monitors: Features like side-by-side split-screen, picture-in-picture, and blue light reduction modes make many LG monitors excellent choices for working when you’re not actively gaming.
  • Its OLED TVs are great for gaming: If you want the biggest gaming screen possible, the LG C1 and its successor the C2 are great (albeit expensive) options.
  • It develops OLED gaming monitors: As the pioneer of large format OLED displays, it’s no surprise that LG is now designing gaming monitors that use the superb technology.

Disadvantages of LG Gaming Monitor

  • Its OLED gaming monitors are not very accessible: Aside from the fact that they haven’t been released yet, don’t expect LG OLED gaming monitors to be affordable.
  • Selection below average: There are fewer LG gaming monitors to choose from than there are Asus gaming monitors.
  • Value for money below average: You’ll have to pay quite a bit for a high-end LG gaming monitor, and its mid-range offerings don’t offer the best value.
  • Poor customer service: The consensus is that dealing with LG politicians and reps isn’t much fun.
